Private Places was an exhibition held at the Geffrye Museum, London and celebrated the passion people have for their gardens and the diversity of personal sanctuaries created in towns and cities. Paul had five images featured.
The first photograph featured, "Katie's Garden" was highly commended by the judges. It is a portrait of his daughter with her first attempt at gardening.
Four were gritty monochramtic images, emphasizing the urban feel of town gardens. The first was a portrait of the Reverend Nicholas Henderson in his garden in West London. Being very aware of 'green issues', he is passionate about the damage being done to the environment and his garden is very much a haven to wildlife, if a little unkempt!
"Balcony in Tarifa'' is a view of a small space, frequently utilized to the full in South European countries. Looking almost derelict, it has a strange beauty.
"Compost heap 1" and "Compost Heap 2" are abstract details and are less obvious observations of a well managed garden.
